How to Set Up IPTV on Amazon Firestick (2026 Guide)

MojoOTT Team·March 20, 2026·6 min read

The Amazon Firestick is by far the most popular device for watching IPTV — and for good reason. It's affordable, portable, powerful enough for HD and 4K streaming, and supports all the major IPTV player apps.

Whether you just got your first Firestick or you're setting up IPTV for the first time, this guide will walk you through every step.

What You'll Need

  • An Amazon Firestick (any generation) or Fire TV device
  • A stable internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps recommended for HD)
  • An active IPTV subscription with your credentials (server URL, username, password)

Step 1: Enable Apps from Unknown Sources

Before you can install third-party IPTV players, you need to allow your Firestick to install apps outside the Amazon App Store.

  1. Go to Settings from the home screen
  2. Select My Fire TV (or Device & Software)
  3. Select Developer Options
  4. Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources

Don't see Developer Options? Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About > click on your device name 7 times rapidly. Developer Options will appear.

Step 2: Install the Downloader App

Downloader is a free app that lets you install IPTV players on your Firestick.

  1. Go to the Search icon on your Firestick home screen
  2. Type "Downloader"
  3. Select the Downloader app by AFTVnews (orange icon)
  4. Click Download / Install

Step 3: Install Your IPTV Player

We recommend TiviMate for the best experience, but IPTV Smarters Pro and OTT Navigator are also excellent choices.

Option A: TiviMate (Recommended)

Open Downloader and enter the TiviMate download URL. Once installed, open TiviMate and select "Add Playlist" > "Xtream Codes." Enter your MojoOTT server URL, username, and password.

Option B: IPTV Smarters Pro

Search for "IPTV Smarters" directly in the Amazon App Store — it's available there for free. Open it, select "Login with Xtream Codes API," and enter your credentials.

Step 4: Enter Your MojoOTT Credentials

No matter which player you chose, you'll need to enter:

  • Server URL — Found in your MojoOTT dashboard
  • Username — Your IPTV username
  • Password — Your IPTV password

All three are available in your MojoOTT client dashboard after subscribing or starting a free trial.

Step 5: Start Watching

Once your playlist loads, you'll see all channels organized by category — live TV, sports, movies, series, and more. Use your Firestick remote to browse and enjoy.

Pro Tips for the Best Experience

  • Use ethernet — An ethernet adapter eliminates Wi-Fi buffering for around $15
  • Clear cache regularly — If the app feels slow, go to Settings > Applications > Manage > your IPTV app > Clear Cache
  • TiviMate Premium — The paid version ($10/year) unlocks recording, catch-up TV, and multi-playlist support
  • Restart daily — A quick restart keeps your Firestick running smoothly

Troubleshooting

Buffering? Check your internet speed at fast.com. You need 25+ Mbps for smooth HD. Switch to ethernet if on Wi-Fi.

Channels not loading? Double-check your credentials. Make sure your subscription is active in your MojoOTT dashboard.

App crashing? Clear the app cache and restart your Firestick. If the problem persists, reinstall the player app.
