If you're serious about IPTV, TiviMate is the player you want. It offers the cleanest interface, best EPG (TV guide) support, smooth channel switching, and features like recording and catch-up TV. It's available on Android TV devices and can be sideloaded on Amazon Firestick.

Why TiviMate?

  • Best EPG support — Full TV guide with program descriptions, timing, and search
  • Fast channel switching — Switch between channels almost instantly
  • Favorites and groups — Organize channels your way
  • Recording — Record live TV to watch later (Premium feature)
  • Catch-up TV — Watch programs you missed (Premium feature)
  • Multi-playlist — Add multiple IPTV subscriptions (Premium feature)
  • Clean, modern interface — Feels like a premium cable box

Installing TiviMate

On Android TV (Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, etc.)

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Search for "TiviMate"
  3. Install TiviMate IPTV Player

On Amazon Firestick

  1. Install the Downloader app from the Amazon App Store
  2. Enable Apps from Unknown Sources in Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options
  3. Open Downloader and enter the TiviMate APK download URL
  4. Install when prompted

Adding Your IPTV Playlist

  1. Open TiviMate and select "Add Playlist"
  2. Choose "Xtream Codes" as the playlist type
  3. Enter your MojoOTT credentials:
    • Server URL — from your MojoOTT dashboard
    • Username — your IPTV username
    • Password — your IPTV password
  4. Tap "Next" — TiviMate will connect and load your channel list

Setting Up the EPG (TV Guide)

When TiviMate asks about EPG sources:

  1. Select "Use playlist EPG" — this pulls the TV guide data directly from your IPTV provider
  2. Set EPG update interval to every 12 hours for fresh data
  3. Wait for the initial EPG download (1-3 minutes)

Once loaded, press the blue button on your remote to open the full TV guide view.

Optimizing Settings

Go to Settings in TiviMate and make these changes for the best experience:

Playback

  • Decoder — Set to "Hardware" for best performance
  • Buffer size — Set to "Medium" or "Large" (try Medium first, increase if buffering)

Interface

  • Channel list style — "Compact" shows more channels per screen
  • Show channel numbers — Enable if you like quick number navigation

EPG

  • Update interval — 12 hours
  • Days to display — 3-7 days

TiviMate Free vs Premium

The free version is fully functional for basic IPTV watching. Premium ($10/year or $20 lifetime) adds:

  • Recording live TV
  • Catch-up TV support
  • Multiple playlist support
  • Favorites management
  • Scheduled recordings
  • Auto-start on boot

For most users, Premium is worth it — especially the recording and catch-up features.

  • Long-press channels to add them to your Favorites for quick access
  • Use the "Group" view to browse by category (Sports, Movies, News, etc.)
  • Press "OK" while watching to see what's currently playing and what's up next
  • Set a parental PIN in Settings if you have kids at home
